With a mature sense of music, the 16 -year-old Kevin Arnemann wins early 2009 our TWSTd DJ Contest. On the way he leaves 160 DJs behind him in a crowded Melkweg to win the final. Both the voice of the audience as well as the voice of the jury go to Kevin.
He found his true love for Techno through his inspirational parents who took him to Awakenings Festival with them at the tender age of 14. This certainly solidified his strong sense for music. Afte winning the TWSTd DJ Contest Kevin made his festival debut at Rockit Open Air. He easily won over the audience with his disarming performance in combination with the characteristic big-room techno. Soon after, he was stumbled upon the chance at a b2b session with the legendary Adam Beyer at the TWSTd afterparty. Since then he has played regularly at Studio 80 as well as held residencies at Amsterdam’s Sugar Factory and Poema in Utrecht. Kevin continues to excel in the industry. Seven years after his first encounter with techno at Awakenings Festival, he played the main stage of this festival in 2013. Furthermore, he currently holds a residency at Junction and has started his own label, Taped Artifact where he controls the release of quality techno tracks. With compliments coming from Derrick May, Stacey Pullen, Nina Kraviz and Adam Beyer and the honest support from almost every Dutch techno heavyweight, he feels strengthened to work towards his ultimate goal: conquering the techno scene.
